PUBLIC INVITED TO OYSTER SHELL BAGGING EVENT IN STUART

The public is invited to participate in an oyster shell bagging event at the Florida Oceanographic Society at 890 N.E. Ocean Blvd.
in Stuart on Saturday at 9 a.m.

Volunteers will help fill hundreds of bags with 20 to 30 pounds of recycled oyster, clam and mussel shells as part of Martin County’s Oyster Reef Restoration Project. This phase of the project entails volunteers bagging and deploying oyster, clam and mussel shells collected from local restaurants to create inshore oyster reefs.
